Saratoga - A Teenage Girls Journey Through the Twists and Turns of Life.
This is a story about Saratoga, an adventurous and inquisitive girl, with a good sense of humor and a determination to make the best of every day.
But tired of being bullied because of her name, Sara, as she is known to her friends, confronts her tormentor. What will she do to get him to stop bullying her?
And although fiercely independent, Sara knows she needs help when purchasing her first car. She asks her friend Mike to help, with unexpected results.
Then, when Sara's friend Naomi hears about a new pool at Sara's house, she can't wait to go over and take a dip. But she is in for quite a surprise when she gets to Sara's house!
And Sara has found she has feelings for three very different boys. With all the twists, turns and ups and downs of romance, she sometimes feels like she's on roller coaster ride. It's all very exciting, but will the roller coaster ever stop?
When all is said and done, Sara loves a challenge, whether riding the romance roller coaster, landing a fighting fish, or climbing the most difficult trail to the top of a nearby mountain.
These and the other adventures and challenges she encounters make this a book young girls and women will find entertaining and inspiring.

While many fear for our nation's future, there are practical steps mentioned in this book that we can each take to build hope for a better America.
The Town of Groton, Massachusetts
by Brian Macdonald
(published by The Public Spirit)
In the mid 1650’s some of the Massachusetts Bay Colony settlers left their homes in the Boston area and ventured out to the wilderness to trade with the Indians. A few of them settled near the Nashua River, in an area the Indians called Petapawag. They petitioned the General Court of Massachusetts to establish a township there, and their request was granted on May 23rd, 1655. The name Groton was chosen by Dean Winthrop, the first-named petitioner and selectman, who was born in Groton, England. It was almost seven years after the township was granted before a considerable number of people settled in Groton. By 1666, the town was populated enough to build a meeting house, the first one being at the junction of what is now Hollis Street and Martins Pond Road.
